List of roads made from waste plastic. Fantastic Innovation.
Yes, the use of plastic on one side is increasing, while on the other hand, we are also aware of its disadvantages. Because of which the government has banned its use several times, but could not succeed in closing it completely.
Because it has now become an integral part of our life. Without using it many tasks seem very difficult. Many people are upset with the growing trend of plastic. But if you think carefully, then you will understand that the real problem is not to use plastic but it is not properly disposed of. In this case, plastic waste is being used for proper use.
It is a matter of pride that an Indian had invented this amazing technique and today this technology is being used extensively. So let’s tell you who have found this amazing technology.
Indian chemistry professor found this technique:
The credit goes to the chemistry professor Rajagopalan Vasudevan, engineering college (TCE) of Madurai (Tamilnadu), wondering about this amazing idea of making the road from Plastic Waste. He started thinking about the methods of better disposing of plastic in 2001 and after several experiments, he found out the formula for making a road from plastic waste.
Won Padma Shri Award:
Professor Rajgopalan Vasudevan, famously known as ‘Plastic Man of India’, has been awarded the Padma Shri for his success. This honor was given to him in 2018 this year.
Roads from plastic made in Bahedi and Mirganj
Two roads were constructed using Plastic West in Bahedi and Mirganj in Uttar Pradesh. About 7 crore rupees were spent in building 7 kilometer long roads and 3200 kilo west plastics were used.
Orissa also adopted this technology:
Rourkela in Orissa also tried this technique. One kilometer long road was constructed from Rourkela Club to Sector-2 Shaktinagar Chowk here. The special thing is that for the first time such a big experiment has been done for plastic disposal in Orissa.
Construction in Jamshedpur also:
Roads have been set up in ‘Tatanagar’, Jamshedpur, with the help of plastic. Here the credit for the construction of a plastic road goes to the Jamshedpur utility services company (Jusco). A total of 22 km long roads have been constructed with the help of plastic in Jamshedpur.
Madhya Pradesh also came forward:
Under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna, the road has also been constructed using Waste plastic in Madhya Pradesh. So far, 35-kilometer long plastic roads have been built here. Out of which, 15 km long road is built in rural areas of Indore division.
